For the third in four weeks Crossville Raceway plans to get folks out of the Grandstand and onto the track this Friday night, May 9th, with ‘Nickel Night for Kids’. All the Kids in the grandstand will be invited to come on down and onto the track for a hunt for nickels.

William and the crew at the track will be spreading nickels on the front straightaway, and the kids will have a free-for-all retrieving the loot. This is yet another effort to let the fans become involved more at the races.

  Raindrops fallin' on my head
Posted by Mark Hankins on 4.3.2008 @ 8:59am

Singin' in the rain! What a glorious feeling huh?! Actually, not really! Considering the local dirt tracks have scheduled races week after week for the entire month of March, but only a couple tracks in the East TN area were able to run a race the entire month of March! The rain is much needed for our area, but the timing of the rain has many fans pulling out their hair, just itching for the smell of race engine exhaust and to see the mud flying! Not only are we being affected by the almost-daily rain on a local level, but so is NASCAR.

  Drivers profile pages ready!
Posted by Mark Hankins on 4.2.2008 @ 9:45am
If you would like to see a FREE profile posted on Short Track Warriors, head on over to the drivers listing for your track and click on the apply link on the page! Your profile will be placed online, however, please understand that it may take a few days or so to get it. I'm looking for a sponsor of the driver profile pages, to cover the cost of getting these profiles online.

If you want your profile online, quicker, there's 4, YES, FOUR options for you to choose from!! The first option is of course free. The 2nd option is an added news script like you see here. You can add your OWN news to your OWN profile. The cost of that is a one-time fee of $5 for setup. If you want to put pictures on those, they will have to be under 450 pixels wide. If you want bigger pictures posted, you'll have to upgrade to our $10 offer. It, too, it s ONE-TIME fee, and will get you the news script, and remove the right navigation panel. The last option, you get the news script, the right panel removed, AND yourname.shorttrackwarriors.com! It is a ONE-TIME fee of $20!

All options above are ONE-TIME fees, which means we won't have it up 3 months or 6 months then E-Mail you asking for more money. You will be charged ONCE and never again! So why not upgrade your profile today!?

  Big things coming for STW!
Posted by Mark Hankins on 3.31.2008 @ 11:32pm
I just wanted to post and thank everybody for visting my site. It means so much to me! Just about anybody I talk to now has something great to say about the site. Thanks again!

We've surpassed 100,000 hits since we started up on November 11th, 2007. We've come a long way baby! We're getting right around 1,000 hits a day! So thanks again!

As for the big things! I'm working on a profile page for each driver! I am looking for a sponsor for all the driver profiles, so if you're interested, contact me as soon as possible and we'll discuss things! I will not place any profiles online until I get a sponsor for the profiles. I will offer several options to drivers. The profile is free, but we can customize it for a small setup fee. Those details will be release once we get a sponsor on board.

So if you know someone, contact me!
